Yes, my title is filled with sarcasm. Our 4th of July isn't going exactly as planned. We got up this morning and went to the parade and it was H-O-T. Oh man, it was bad. So that makes Gabe cranky...He can't stand the heat. The parade was lagging in areas which made it all the more long. Not to mention all the election candidates out with their golf cart floats. I think parades are longer during an election year! It sucked. Tyler had fun picking up candy and beads, but you could tell he was miserably hot. We left the parade street and booked it through the festival. Same stuff, different holiday. The food smelled amazing, but no one was hungry so went home. Gabe laid Tyler down for a nap and he slept for maybe an hour. I got up with him and he was burning up! Plus his nose is all snotty and he's just miserable. I don't know if it's from the heat or what. He's not as hot now and he's running around playing so he's not acting sick. Poor thing though, he just wanted to sleep but couldn't breathe through his little nose. So, needless to say, we're skipping the fireworks this year. I'm a little sad, but I don't want to deal with the crowds and traffic and a sickly kid. Gabe's going to Jacksonville to play cards so I'll have the house to myself once little man goes to bed. I'm kinda looking forward to it! :o)
