It's weird...When Tyler wakes up at 7 am, I roll over and pray for 10 more minutes. This morning I woke up at 8:40 when Gabe got back from his duty muster. I made coffee, fed the animals, sat down and did everything I could think to do on the internet. Now, I'm sitting here waiting on my little boy to wake up and start our day.
Our weekend got a little better. Tyler's fever went down so could he almost function as a well behaved little boy. Almost. I was up for about 2 hours in the middle of the night last night waiting on him to go back to sleep...Mommy brain does not let me go back to sleep once I hear noise on the monitor. It's like built into your system as soon as you have a baby...(Luckily for Gabe, this didn't happen...He can sleep through anything). Turns out all he needed was some medicine. And then some water. And then a little bit of snuggly love. He's a scammer alright. He even tried to get me to change his perfectly fine diaper.
It's now 9:10 and I'm listening to Gabe go in to get Tyler. He still doesn't get out of his bed until someone comes in...I just love it when he runs in here all happy and cute demanding apple juice and the "moomee Nemos" (that's the movie Finding Nemo for those of you not up on your 2 year old speak). He's so darn cute I could just nibble his little cheeks off. ;o) You guys should really come down and visit!!
Speaking of visiting, I think our trip to NC will be in August now. I really want to come up and visit with everyone, Gabe not so much, but he doesn't really have a say in it. I told him we could find a trailer to haul his bike if he absolutely needs to bring it. I don't know how long we'll be staying, it might just be an extended weekend. Once again, stay tuned for updates.
Well, I'm off to make some breakfast and hang out with my boys. I'm going to try and talk Gabe into going to the pool today...Or maybe weed-eating the yard. ;o) We shall see!
