Bake in the oven for 15 minutes at 350. The recipe (from my new book, The 30 Minute Vegan) calls for curly kale, but I had a bag of kale (couldn't resist it.. $1 from the commissary!) Drizzle with olive oil, salt and pepper. It's so light and crispy, I'll never need to buy greasy potato chips again!! The only downside is, the longer it sits after you bake it, the less crispy it gets. The picture is actually the leftover kale that I just popped back in the oven for a few minutes. I grab a handful every time I'm in the kitchen. IT'S SOOOO GOOOOOOD!!!! TRY IT! Oh and another downside, don't eat it out in public. You'll get green shit all in ya teeth. :)
Second, Ouch. 2nd day of the 30 Day Shred. Damn you, Jillian Michaels, damn you! My arms are so weak.. I'm so tired. I hope I'll have some more energy after I get over the sugar withdrawal. I feel sluggish and lazy and a little cranky. I visited our little health store in town today and was pleasantly surprised! Some things were a little pricey, but they had most everything I wanted to get. More sea salt, Kukicha tea, Umeboshi vinegar (they had umeboshi plums as well, but they were really expensive! I'm going to order them online.) Black strap molasses, brown rice syrup and I found a big bag of sesame seeds. Oh and the lady is ordering Kombu for me. Am I really delving into the world of sea vegetables? We shall see. I wish Gabe were here. He loves seaweed!
