Today, I am thankful for the moms in my life who have my back. I was at Target this morning and I got a look from another mom. A questionable look. One that asked, "Are you really letting your two year old eat a cookie from Starbucks at 8:30 in the morning?" You know what, missy, I am. Come back to me in a few years when that newborn of yours isn't such a quiet and still baby. When all you want is a few minutes of peace and quiet to walk around Target with your girlfriend and not worry about the monkey in the front seat trying to escape. We moms should have each others backs and not be so judgy judgy. I need you to know I love my children and would do anything for them, but for the love of all that is holy, if I have to watch Paw Patrol one more time I'm going to throw myself into the street. Thank you for understanding that at the end of the day taking a hot shower by myself (sorry, hun) is a luxury. Thanks for letting me not feel like a failure even though I'm pretty sure I am failing as a mom about 67% of the time. Ah well. There's always tomorrow.
